Greetings! My name Is Bob Clearmountain and this web site is a little peek into my private mixing studio called “Mix This!” I’ll be your tour guide to tell you a bit about the place where I’ve been pretty much social distancing for years. It happens to be in the basement of my home in Southern California where I live with my amazing wife, Betty Bennett who is the founder and CEO of Apogee Electronics in Santa Monica.

We’ve just done a major upgrade enabling me to mix in Dolby “Atmos” format, which is kinda like surround on steroids. Really fun for a truly “immersive” musical listening experience!

Many have asked, “Who thought of the name, “Mix This!”? I’m quite embarrassed to admit that in previous versions of this site I had totally neglected to mention that the name was sarcastically shouted out by my dear friend Erika Lopez during a small tequila party. So happy to finally give her the credit she has deserved for the last twenty-eight years!
